Once Again Thanks for the Reply

Much as I would like to withdraw what you say is an accusation, I am unable to do so. On the day in question, the pharmacy was closed at 6:20 pm. Maybe you would be so kind as to enlighten us at to the opening hours.

Now on to the matter of repeat prescriptions. You say that of course it does not take 4 days to fulfill a repeat scrip - well if that is the case, why is there a big notice up in the surgery stating that it takes 4 days ?

A tip for anyone who is put out by this. Just write HOLD on the prescription and then collect it from the surgery anytime after 3:00 pm. Take it down to Sainsbury's in Apsley and it will be sorted for you in 20 mins max.

Happy to confirm the opening hours. We open Mon-to-Fri 9:00am to 6:30 pm and on Sats 9:00am to 2:00pm

We will usually be able to dispense any prescription presented to us within 20 minutes. Most of the time it will be much faster than that (the wait varies according to how busy we are)

But why wait at all? We will happily collect your prescription direct for the surgery, dispense it and have it ready waiting for you to collect.

Again: please feel free to contact me direct with any concerns or suggestions:

Being new at blogging this is my second attempt so here's hoping I get through the ether.

Interesting comments from 'Whats in a name' One the one hand we are being asked to support all shops in the village so we can maintain the 'spirit' of the village - SPOT ON The more we support local Businesses the more we can continue to build a community spirit. On the other hand we are being told to go to Sainsbury (the destryoer of the local Business) because of being put out by being told tthe shop closes at 6:15. From my experience the chemist is more than often open pass 6:30. As for the comment it was better when Anthony was there - do you know what - Anthony is still there - granted the Business is now owned by someone else. I understand Anthony is retiring and without doubt there are many of us in the village who will miss him and I wish him all the best for the future. I suggest we should have a better appreciation of what is behind the 4 day statement before we start having a go at the staff in the chemist just to satisfy a frustration at being told 'we shut at 6:15'

I would like to say a big thankyou to 'Whats in a name' for setting up this blog and look forward to a continued exchange of views and look forward to many others joining in.....
